IT Staff Augmentation
Senior engineers who join your team, follow your process, and work in your stack. Vetted by engineers, not recruiters — and replaced at our cost if the fit is wrong.

Sometimes the problem isn't the plan or the product — it's that there aren't enough hands, and hiring takes months you don't have.
Our engineers embed in your team: your standups, your repository, your review process, your definition of done. They are not a black-box vendor team delivering over a wall.
What we do
How engagements are structured
Four arrangements. Which fits depends on whether you need capacity, a self-contained workstream, or a permanent hire you want to de-risk.
01Staff augmentationIndividual engineers joining your existing team and reporting into your engineering leadership.
Individual engineers joining your existing team, working in your repository, attending your standups, and reporting to your engineering leadership. This is deliberately not a managed-service arrangement: there is no account manager between you and the engineer, and no separate vendor process running alongside yours. The engineer is accountable to your team's definition of done.
- Engineers embedded in your process
- Direct communication, no account layer
- Minimum overlap hours agreed up front
- Monthly check-in on fit and output
02Dedicated teamsA complete pod — engineers, QA, and a lead — owning a workstream end to end.
A complete pod — engineers, QA, and a lead — owning a workstream end to end. This suits work that can be cleanly separated from your core roadmap: a new product line, a platform migration, a mobile app alongside an existing web product. The lead handles day-to-day coordination so your leadership carries one relationship rather than five.
- Pod sized to the workstream
- A lead accountable for delivery
- QA included, not an afterthought
- Regular demos to your stakeholders
03Contract-to-hireWork together first, convert to a permanent hire later with no conversion fee after six months.
Work together first, convert to a permanent hire later, with no conversion fee after six months. Hiring decisions made from interviews are guesses; hiring decisions made from six months of shipped work are not. This suits companies building a permanent team who want to reduce the cost of a wrong hire.
- Full-time engagement from day one
- Convert at any point, fee-free after six months
- Prorated fee if you convert earlier
- Standard employment terms on conversion
04Specialist placementShort engagements for narrow expertise: DevOps, security, data engineering, performance work.
Short engagements for narrow expertise — DevOps, security, data engineering, performance work — where you need a specific skill for weeks rather than a permanent addition. These are scoped to a defined outcome and include a handover, so the capability stays with your team once the specialist leaves.
- Scoped to a defined outcome
- Typically four to twelve weeks
- Knowledge transfer built into the engagement
- Documentation left behind
Who it’s for
Who this is for
- Engineering leaders with a roadmap larger than their team.
- Companies needing a skill they don't have and can't justify hiring permanently.
- Teams under a deadline that full-time recruitment cannot meet.
- Businesses testing a working relationship before committing to a permanent hire.
Process
How placement works
- 01
Role definition
Stack, seniority, time-zone overlap, and what the person will own in their first quarter.
- 02
Shortlist
Two to four vetted candidates, typically within a week. We send fewer, better profiles rather than a pile.
- 03
Your interview
You run your own process. Our vetting reduces your funnel; it does not replace your judgment.
- 04
Onboarding
Access, context, and a first task in week one. We check in at thirty days to confirm the fit is real.
How we vet
Every engineer we put forward has been through this before you ever see a CV.
Technical screen by an engineer
A working session on real problems, run by someone who does the job — not a keyword match against a CV.
Practical assessment
Code review and system design discussion in the stack the role actually uses.
Communication check
Assessed deliberately, because a distributed engineer who cannot write clearly will cost you more than they add.
Replacement guarantee
If the fit is wrong in the first month, we replace the engineer and you are not billed for the ramp-up.

FAQ
Common questions
If something here isn't answered, ask on a call — we'd rather tell you plainly than have you guess.
What time zones do your engineers work in?
Overlap is agreed per engagement. We commit to a minimum number of overlapping hours with your core team rather than promising full coverage everywhere.
What is the minimum engagement?
Three months for augmentation. Below that, onboarding consumes most of the value for both sides.
Can we hire the engineer permanently?
Yes. After six months there is no conversion fee. Before that, a prorated fee applies.
Tell us what you’re working on
We reply within one business day, and we’ll tell you honestly if we’re not the right fit.
- 1. We read it properly and reply within a business day.
- 2. A 30-minute call to understand the problem.
- 3. A written proposal, or an honest referral elsewhere.
