Privacy Policy

Servolane is a software development company. This policy covers personal data we collect through this website. It does not cover data we process on behalf of clients under a separate contract — that is governed by the agreement with that client.

We collect personal data in one place only: the contact form. When you submit it we store what you type —

• Your name and email address (required)
• Your company name and phone number (optional)
• The service you are enquiring about, and your message

Alongside that we record the page you submitted from, your browser’s user-agent string, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. The hash lets us detect automated abuse without storing the address itself — we cannot recover your IP from it.

We do not run analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party scripts on this site. We set no cookies for visitors.

Solely to respond to your enquiry and keep a record of our correspondence. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has contacted us about our services, and in protecting the form from automated abuse.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

Submissions are stored in our own database and are readable only by Servolane staff who need to respond to enquiries. Access is restricted and authenticated.

Our infrastructure providers process this data on our behalf as part of hosting the site and database. They act on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.

Contact submissions are kept while they are commercially relevant — typically up to 24 months from your last contact with us — and deleted after that, or sooner on request.

You can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct anything inaccurate
• Delete it
• Stop using it while a complaint is resolved

Email info@servolane.com and we will action it, normally within 30 days. There is no charge. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the submission database requires authentication and is limited to staff who need it. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. We record a hash of your IP rather than the address itself, and we do not store payment details or any special-category data through this site.

If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes affecting people who have already contacted us will be notified by email where we hold an address.
